Vadodara Accident: Driver Denies Drunk Driving Charges
The accident has raised concerns about the prevalence of drunk driving in Vadodara, with many calling for increased awareness and stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such incidents in the future.

A 20-year-old law student, Rakshit Chaurasiya, involved in a fatal car accident in Vadodara, has denied being drunk and speeding, despite video footage showing him shouting "another round" after the crash and witnesses claiming he was heavily intoxicated.
The accident, which occurred at a busy intersection, killed a woman and injured four others. Chaurasiya claimed he was returning home from attending Holika Dahan and was driving at 50 kmph, but witnesses and video footage suggest otherwise. The car was allegedly traveling at 120 kmph before the crash, and Chaurasiya was caught on CCTV shouting "Another round!" and "Om Namah Shivay!" as he stepped out of the severely damaged car.
Chaurasiya and the car's owner, Mit Chauhan, have been arrested and are being investigated. The police are also investigating whether narcotics or other substances were involved in the accident. Netizens have expressed outrage over Chaurasia's claims, with some questioning the circumstances of his interview with the media while in police custody.
The incident has sparked a debate about road safety and the need for stricter laws to prevent drunk driving. The police are conducting further investigations into the incident, and the accused are expected to face charges for their alleged roles in the fatal accident.
