Ex-Goa MLA Dies After Altercation, Viral Videos Emerge

A former member of the Goa assembly, Lavoo Mamledar, died after being slapped by an auto-rickshaw driver in Belagavi, India, following a car accident, with the incident captured in viral videos showing the altercation between the two.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 12:58 pm, when Mamledar's vehicle collided with the auto-rickshaw driven by 25-year-old Mujahid Sanadi. The collision led to a heated exchange between the two, which ended with Sanadi slapping Mamledar. Shortly after, Mamledar collapsed while climbing the stairs of a nearby lodge and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police have arrested Sanadi and are investigating the incident. The cause of Mamledar's death is yet to be determined, with the autopsy results pending. The Goa Police is working closely with the Belagavi Police to monitor the investigation and expedite the release of the body to the family.

The incident has sparked widespread shock and outrage, with many calling for swift justice in the case. The police are currently reviewing the viral videos of the altercation to piece together the events leading up to Mamledar's death.
