Cricket Revival: Gaddafi Stadium Transformed
With its state-of-the-art facilities and increased seating capacity, the Gaddafi Stadium is poised to deliver an unforgettable experience for cricket fans, both local and international, and its renovation is a testament to Pakistan's commitment to developing world-class sports infrastructure.

Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium has undergone a remarkable transformation, with the addition of 10,000 new seats, new LED lights, and upgraded facilities, ahead of the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, with former PCB chairmen Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf praising the rapid renovation.
The stadium's renovation was completed in just 117 days, with nearly 2,500 workers working day and night to meet the deadline, at a cost of Rs12.80 billion. The project's swift completion has been hailed as a significant achievement, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi highlighting the efforts of the workers and officials involved.
The revamped stadium will provide a world-class experience for spectators, with improved facilities and amenities, and is set to host its first event, an ODI match between Pakistan and New Zealand, on February 8. The stadium will also host five matches of the Champions Trophy, including the semi-final, further solidifying its position as a premier cricket venue.
The inauguration of the renovated Gaddafi Stadium by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on February 7 marked a new chapter in the history of cricket in Pakistan, and the stadium is expected to become a symbol of the country's passion for the sport, as it prepares to host top-tier international cricket events.
