Pakistan Railway Employees Honor Retiring Station Master
The ceremony marked the end of an era for Mustafa Awan, while the railway sector looks to address the concerns of residents and traders in Gujar Khan, who are seeking better train services and connectivity to major cities like Lahore and Islamabad.

A grand farewell ceremony was held to bid farewell to Station Master of Attock, Malik Ghulam Mustafa Awan, on the occasion of his retirement, with railway employees and officials praising his dedication and commitment to the institution.
Mustafa Awan, who has completed his distinguished service, was adorned with flower garlands and presented with gifts and commemorative shields. Employees and officials acknowledged his services, recognizing him as a great mentor for new employees. He was praised for his honesty and hard work throughout his career, and his commitment to upholding the prestige of the institution.
In a separate development, residents and traders of Gujar Khan have demanded that more trains stop at the local railway station. Currently, only one train for Faisalabad and four for Lahore stop at the station, generating significant revenue. However, the available trains are not convenient for traders and government employees who frequently travel to Lahore for business and official work. They have called for the revival of the Gujar Khan-Rawalpindi-Islamabad shuttle train to reduce traffic congestion and provide commuters with direct access to metro bus routes.
As Mustafa Awan begins his new chapter of life, his colleagues conveyed their love and best wishes, stating they would deeply miss him but also extend their heartfelt wishes for success. The Pakistan railway sector continues to face demands for improved services, with residents and traders advocating for increased connectivity and convenience.
