Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain were martyred during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Mastung district, where three terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna al Hindustan were killed.

The operation was part of the government's efforts to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country. Security forces conducted a sanitization operation to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. The martyred soldiers, aged 31 and 22, were from Khushab and Jhelum districts, respectively.

President Asif Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tributes to the martyred soldiers, praising their bravery and selfless devotion to duty.
