Kia has officially launched the fifth generation of its popular SUV, the Sportage, in Pakistan, with prices starting from PKR 9,499,000. The new model features a bold design, upgraded features, and a hybrid variant, offering a range of options for customers.
The new Sportage is available in three variants: a hybrid flagship, a mid-tier petrol model, and a base petrol model. The hybrid variant is powered by a 1.6L T-GDI HEV engine, producing 226 HP and 350 Nm of torque, while the standard variant has a 2.0L MPI petrol engine, delivering 154 HP and 192 Nm of torque. Both variants offer front-wheel drive and multiple driving modes.
The SUV boasts a redesigned exterior with a panoramic black grille, boomerang-style LED DRLs, and a sleek rear with unique LED tail lamps. It has a longer wheelbase, providing more legroom and improved comfort for passengers. Inside, the Sportage features a dual 12.3-inch curved display, a dashboard with carbon fibre trim, 8 Harman Kardon premium speakers, wireless charging, and paddle shifters.
Kia has packed the Sportage with a host of safety features, including 6 airbags, blind spot collision avoidance assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, smart cruise control, and a 360-degree surround-view monitor. The introductory prices include a 4-year (100,000 KM) warranty and 8-year (160,000 KM) high-voltage battery warranty for the hybrid model.
