BYD is set to introduce the Shark 6, Pakistan's first-ever hybrid pickup truck, which will compete with diesel-powered giants like Toyota Hilux Revo and ISUZU D-Max, offering a cleaner, smarter, and more technologically advanced option for professionals, adventurers, and eco-conscious drivers.

The Shark 6 features a 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with dual electric motors, producing 321kW and 650Nm of torque, with an electric-only range of up to 85 km and a total range of 800 km. The vehicle has a 29.58 kWh battery capacity, 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.7 seconds, and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg. It will have a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and independent coil-sprung rear suspension.

The Shark 6 is expected to be priced in the international market between $25,000 to $38,000, with the Pakistani price to be revealed later. Its entry is expected to redefine the local 4x4 and pickup market, offering a cleaner, smarter, and more technologically advanced option for professionals, adventurers, and eco-conscious drivers. BYD has confirmed the launch of its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) pickup truck, the BYD Shark 6, in Pakistan.

The launch date and pricing have not been officially announced, but the company is expected to reveal more details soon. With its electrified performance and competitive pricing, the Shark 6 has the potential to disrupt the dominance of traditional diesel-powered pickups in the local market.
