BYD is set to introduce the Shark 6, Pakistan's first-ever hybrid pickup truck, which will compete with diesel-powered giants like Toyota Hilux Revo and ISUZU D-Max, offering a cleaner, smarter, and more technologically advanced option for professionals, adventurers, and eco-conscious drivers.
The Shark 6 features a 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with dual electric motors, producing 321kW and 650Nm of torque, with an electric-only range of up to 85 km and a total range of 800 km. The vehicle has a 29.58 kWh battery capacity, 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.7 seconds, and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg. It will have a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and independent coil-sprung rear suspension.
The Shark 6 is expected to be priced in the international market between $25,000 to $38,000, with the Pakistani price to be revealed later. Its entry is expected to redefine the local 4x4 and pickup market, offering a cleaner, smarter, and more technologically advanced option for professionals, adventurers, and eco-conscious drivers.
