Filmmaker Mohit Suri's latest film 'Saiyaara' has taken the box office by storm, collecting Rs 21 crore on its first day of release and expected to mint Rs 45 crore by the end of its second day. The film, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is receiving excellent reviews from fans and industry insiders.

Saiyaara reportedly evolved from what was once planned to be 'Aashiqui 3', with Mohit Suri recently sharing how he had chosen Aditya Roy Kapur opposite Shraddha Kapoor in 'Aashiqui 2'. The director recalled his first meeting with Aditya Roy Kapur, who showed up in a casual attire, but Mohit was impressed and could envision him in his frames. He believed that the best casting happens when the camera isn't rolling.

Mohit Suri also recalled his first meeting with Shraddha Kapoor, who he immediately struck by her appearance, describing her as a "Maharashtrian girl" with "Marathi chashmish" (eyes) and "baal mein tel" (oily hair). He decided on the spot that she would play the role of Aarohi in Aashiqui 2, which released in 2013 and became a blockbuster, catapulting Shraddha Kapoor to stardom.

With Saiyaara's success, Mohit Suri has once again proven his mettle as a director, and his ability to launch new talent and create blockbuster films. The film's success is a testament to Mohit's vision and his ability to create compelling stories that resonate with audiences.
