UAE Introduces 23 Lakh Golden Visa Route for Indians, Bangladeshis
The nomination-based model is offered through authorized agencies, waiving the need for business or property investment, and is designed for individuals with professional merit, clean records, and a successful nomination. The Golden Visa offers a range of benefits, including a 10-year residency visa, renewable thereafter, and access to the UAE's thriving economy and society.

The UAE's Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has introduced a new nomination-based process for Indian and Bangladeshi citizens to apply for a 10-year Golden Visa, with a one-time cost of approximately Rs 23.3 lakh. This route is designed for mid-career professionals, entrepreneurs, and individuals with proven contributions in various sectors.
The Golden Visa eligibility is clearly defined, with key categories including skilled professionals, investors, real estate buyers, IT experts, scientists, outstanding students, and humanitarian workers. The UAE government screens applicants based on their profession, societal contributions, and perceived economic value to the country. Applicants must gather documents, including a clear copy of their passport, proof of eligibility, bank statements, and health insurance, and can apply through the official ICP portal or via an authorized nomination agency.
The UAE immigration authorities have the final say in granting the 10-year visa, renewable thereafter. The application process involves a series of checks, including anti-money laundering clearances, criminal background verification, and social media audits. The ICP has warned against misinformation and consultancy scams, stating that no internal or external consultancy entity is authorized to process or facilitate Golden Visa applications. The actual fee for Golden Visa processing is around AED 3,000, excluding medical tests and Emirates ID costs.
Experts and authorized service centers in Dubai are urging applicants to avoid third-party agents and influencers making exaggerated claims, especially those charging exorbitant fees. The UAE authorities also offer an optional "One Touch" Golden Visa service to manage the process, providing a convenient and secure way for applicants to navigate the application process.
