Pak Navy on High Alert as India's Operation Sindoor Achieves Objectives
The operation has significant implications for regional security, with India demonstrating its willingness to take strong action against terrorism. The impact of Operation Sindoor will be closely watched, as it may set a new precedent for India's response to future terror attacks.

The Indian Navy's Operation Sindoor has been hailed as a success, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stating that it achieved all its objectives and injected fear into the minds of terrorists. The operation was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 people, and targeted terror-infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
According to Indian Navy chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the rapid and measured response during Operation Sindoor forced the adversary to plead for ceasefire. The operation was planned to convey a message to Pakistan that India would no longer tolerate terrorism, and it aimed to strike terror headquarters deep inside Pakistan, targeting LeT and Jaish headquarters in Muridke and Bahawalpur.
The Indian Navy's carrier battle group, submarines, and aviation assets were deployed at sea with full combat readiness, and the naval forces remained forward deployed in the northern Arabian sea in a dissuasive and deterrent posture. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh revealed that after India inflicted heavy damage on the Pakistani military, they requested a ceasefire, which was agreed upon on May 10.
The operation highlights the critical role of the Navy in the current complex and rapidly-changing global security environment. Admiral Tripathi emphasized the importance of the personnel behind the systems, their professionalism, and never-say-die spirit, stating that the Navy's greatest asset is its trained and dedicated workforce.
The success of Operation Sindoor marks a new dimension in India's operational outlook, with the country treating any act of terror as an act of war. As tensions remain high, the Pak Navy remains on high alert, and the international community continues to monitor the situation closely.
