Sean Williams Leads Zimbabwe's Recovery
With Williams and Ervine at the crease, Zimbabwe will look to build on their recovery and try to close the gap with South Africa, who will be looking to capitalize on their strong start and take control of the match.

Sean Williams and captain Craig Ervine shared an unbroken 66-run partnership to help Zimbabwe recover to 94/2 at lunch on the second day of the first test against South Africa at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
The Proteas declared at 418/9 overnight and made an early breakthrough, with debutant Codi Yusuf dismissing Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Nicholas Welch. However, Zimbabwe's Brian Bennett was forced to leave the field after being struck on the helmet by Kwena Maphaka. Williams and Ervine then put on a solid show, with Williams scoring 45 off 59 balls and Ervine contributing 24 off 70 balls.
The Proteas bowlers, including Yusuf and Wiaan Mulder, struggled to get assistance from the pitch, allowing Zimbabwe to recover from a precarious 23/2. The partnership between Williams and Ervine has given Zimbabwe a glimmer of hope, but they still trail South Africa by 324 runs.
As the match progresses, it will be interesting to see if Zimbabwe can continue to build on the foundation laid by Williams and Ervine, and potentially challenge South Africa's dominant total. The stage is set for an exciting second half of the test match, with Zimbabwe looking to make a comeback and South Africa aiming to assert their dominance.
