South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch scored a hundred off 124 balls in the first Test against Zimbabwe, helping his team reach 418/9 at stumps, while debutants Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Brevis also impressed with their performances.

Bosch came to the crease at 181/6 and formed crucial partnerships with Lhuan-dre Pretorius and the tailenders, including a 108-run stand with Pretorius. He was dropped just before reaching his hundred and has now scored 181 runs in two Test innings, including a 81* against Pakistan. This is his second fifty-plus score in Tests and he has hit 25 fours at a strike rate of 83-plus.

The Zimbabwean bowlers struggled to contain the runs, with only four frontline bowlers in action. Pretorius, on debut, batted superbly and has scored 128 runs, taking the attack to the Zimbabwean bowlers, with Masekesa facing harsh punishment.
