Microsoft Edge Integrates copilot ai for Enhanced Search
With the enhanced search feature and AI-powered History search, users can efficiently find websites in their browsing history, and the media control center provides a convenient way to manage multiple media sources. These updates, along with other new features, contribute to a more streamlined and user-friendly browsing experience.

Microsoft is testing an AI-powered search feature in its Edge browser, allowing users to find websites in their browsing history with ease, even with typos or similar phrases, using an on-device model trained with the user's data.
The feature, called "enhanced search," is part of a larger update that includes a media control center, enabling users to control multiple media sources from within the browser. This update also introduces a new Autofill Personal Information Settings Configuration and support for viewing Sensitivity labels applied to Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) Protected PDFs.
Another notable feature in the latest update is the AI-powered History search, which allows users to search their browser history using natural language queries. This feature uses an on-device model trained on the user's data to find sites visited, even if the user can't remember the exact URL or site name. The feature is currently in testing in Edge version 138.0.3351.14 and can be disabled by users.
Microsoft has also made improvements to surfacing performance notifications and introduced a Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat summarization menu item to the context menu. These updates aim to enhance the overall browsing experience and provide users with more control over their browser settings.
The integration of AI-powered features in Microsoft Edge demonstrates the company's commitment to innovation and user experience. As the feature continues to be tested and refined, users can expect a more seamless and intuitive browsing experience.
