Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has dismissed a fake notification claiming an extension of school holidays in the province, confirming that schools, colleges, and educational institutions will reopen as per their regular schedule.

The fake notice circulated online after Punjab Chief Minister declared a state of emergency and ordered the closure of all educational institutions on Wednesday due to rising security concerns. However, the government has reassessed the security situation and decided not to extend the closure beyond Wednesday.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat reiterated that no decision has been taken on extending holidays and no notification has been issued. Authorities had closed educational institutions on Wednesday due to the security situation after India's attack on Pakistan, but they will reopen as scheduled.

The Punjab Education Department has announced that all public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the province will reopen today. A new schedule for examinations, which were postponed due to the holiday, will be announced later. District Education Authorities have been instructed to ensure the resumption of teaching process in educational institutions.

The decision to reopen schools is expected to bring relief to students and parents, who were confused by circulating rumors and social media posts. The government has urged the public to disregard the fabricated document and follow official announcements for accurate information.
