Sadiqabad Market Fire Destroys Pushcarts

A massive fire swept through Sadiqabad's Lunda Bazaar on Thursday, burning over 500 pushcarts and spreading to several shops and train bogies, in the third such incident in the same bazaar. Rescue 1122 and water tankers worked together to bring the fire under control after a massive effort.
The fire broke out in Landa Bazaar in Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab, engulfing the market and a nearby railway carriage. In another incident, 14 huts were reduced to ashes in Khairpur's Baggri settlement, leaving three children injured and six goats and dozens of chicks burnt alive. The cause of the fires is not yet known, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
