SushantSinghRajput: CBI Clears Rhea Chakraborty
The CBI's report confirms Sushant's death as a suicide with no foul play, clearing Rhea and others, and bringing an end to a long and complex investigation. The case had sparked widespread media attention and public interest, with many calling for justice for Sushant and his family.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted a closure report, clearing actress Rhea Chakraborty and others from any involvement in the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, concluding that there was no evidence to support claims of abetment to suicide.
The CBI's investigation, which began in August 2020, found no criminal conspiracy or wrongdoing leading to Sushant's death. The report also absolves Sushant's sister Priyanka, Rhea's parents, and her brother Showik Chakraborty, along with a doctor mentioned in a counter-FIR. The decision follows an investigation initiated after a complaint from Rajput's father, which had accused Rhea and others of causing his son's death.
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Advocate Satish Maneshinde, claims vindication and says his client was subjected to untold miseries and was behind bars for 27 days for no fault of hers. The CBI's report was submitted on March 22, 2025, and it ruled out foul play in Sushant's death. Rhea, who was dating Sushant at the time of his death, had faced allegations of financial fraud, mental harassment, and illegal confinement.
The CBI's clean chit to Rhea Chakraborty has been welcomed by some in the Bollywood industry, with Pooja Bhatt reacting to the news by sharing an old post by Akshay Kumar, stating that "truth has prevailed." The closure of the case brings an end to a long and tumultuous period for those involved, and allows the families and friends of Sushant Singh Rajput to find some closure.
