Saif Ali Khan Latest News: Recovery After Stabbing

Saif Ali Khan, the renowned Bollywood actor, has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital after undergoing treatment for multiple stab injuries sustained during an attack at his Bandra home. His sister, Saba Ali Khan, has expressed gratitude to the staff members who played a crucial role in keeping her brother and his family safe during the incident.

The stabbing incident occurred on January 16, and Saif was rushed to the hospital with the help of a local auto-rickshaw driver, Bhajan Singh, who declined payment for his assistance. Saif suffered six stab injuries, including one on his back, and had to undergo plastic surgery for his face and arm injuries. The knife missed his spinal cord by just 2 mm, and his spinal fluid had started leaking, requiring immediate surgical intervention.

The police have arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad, a 25-year-old Bangladeshi national, who is accused of carrying out the attack. Shehzad had entered India illegally months ago and was trying to flee to Howrah after the incident. He was apprehended in Thane while hiding in a thicket on a deserted road. The police have recovered a face mask from Jahangir Ali Khan's room, where the fight occurred, which is believed to belong to the accused.

Saif Ali Khan's family has expressed relief and gratitude to the staff members and the auto-rickshaw driver who helped during the incident. The actor's nanny, Eliyama Philip, was the first to spot the intruder, and her quick thinking may have prevented further harm. The incident has raised concerns about the security measures in place at the actor's residence and the need for increased vigilance to prevent such incidents in the future.
