Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon inspected the Yellow Line BRT project, which is expected to be completed five months ahead of schedule, in May 2025, and discussed the progress of other transport projects in Karachi, including the Red Line and Green Line BRT projects.

The Yellow Line BRT project, originally scheduled for completion in September 2025, is now expected to be completed by May 2025, with the minister instructing officials to complete the project before the stipulated time. The project will operate from Dawood Chowrangi/Korangi 8000 Road to Shahrah-i-Quaideen up to Numaish intersection, providing a much-needed transportation service to the city's residents.

The Red Line BRT project, however, is facing issues due to objections raised by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which may cause a delay of two years. The project, which has been under construction for the past three years, was initially expected to be completed by December 2026. The minister expressed frustration at the CAA's decision to raise objections to the project's design after 50% of the work had already been completed.

In a separate development, the minister announced that the fares of the Green Line will not be increased, but additional facilities will be introduced to provide better transport services to the public. He also urged the Prime Minister to fulfill his promise of providing 180 buses for Karachi, emphasizing that it is a right of the city's citizens. Furthermore, a Pink Taxi Service will be launched for women, with Pink Scooters also being provided for working women.

The Sindh government's efforts to improve the transportation system in Karachi are underway, with the "I Work for Sindh" app and portal launched to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youth. The minister's inspection of the Yellow Line BRT project and his discussions on the Red Line and Green Line projects demonstrate the government's commitment to providing affordable and reliable transportation to the city's residents.
