Abu Dhabi Hosts IDEX 2025 with Cutting-Edge Defence Tech
IDEX 2025 will feature a live demonstration area and Mina Zayed, which will host larger ships, with the UAE showcasing several warships, including the launch of newly manufactured ships that demonstrate advanced Emirati defense industry technologies, and Indra's advanced self-protection pod for aircraft.

Indra, a Spanish defence technology company, is set to unveil a joint venture with UAE-based Edge defence group, Pulse, to develop and market advanced radar systems at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi, showcasing state-of-the-art technologies including AESA Nemus and Nemus-C radars.
The company will also equip an Abu Dhabi Ship Building FA-400 patrol vessel with its latest systems, including 3D radar technology and the Crow anti-drone system, at Navdex. Indra has a strong presence in the Middle East, having contributed to defence projects in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and other Gulf nations. The event is expected to be the largest and most distinguished edition since its inception, featuring warships from eight nations, including the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Pakistan, Greece, South Korea, India, and the UAE.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) will participate in IDEX 2025, showcasing its latest products, including the upgraded SAMI Light Armored Tactical Vehicle (SLTV) and ROAYA, a remote turret designed and built entirely in Saudi Arabia. SAMI's participation underscores its commitment to supporting Vision 2030's goal of localizing 50% of the Kingdom's defense spending.
The event aims to showcase cutting-edge defense and security technologies and provide a platform for international collaboration and knowledge exchange, highlighting the growth and transformation of the Saudi defense sector, fostering innovation, empowering national talent, and strengthening Saudi Arabia's position globally.
