Ola Electric Gen 3 Launch Sends Shares Soaring

Ola Electric's Gen 3 series offers improved performance, efficiency, and features, with a 20% boost in peak power and a 20% increase in range, starting at ₹79,999 for the S1 X and ₹1,69,999 for the S1 Pro+.

Shares of Ola Electric witnessed a significant surge of 14.43% to INR 76.50 apiece on the BSE after the company unveiled its Gen 3 electric scooter series, promising enhanced performance and efficiency. The new series boasts a 20% boost in peak power, 11% reduction in costs, and a 20% increase in range.

The Ola Electric Gen 3 series includes the S1 X and S1 Pro+, priced at ₹79,999 and ₹1,69,999, respectively. These scooters feature notable upgrades such as chain drive, pre-lubricated O-rings, and Ola's patented 'Brake by Wire' technology. The new models are designed to provide a more efficient and reliable riding experience, with a new MCU motor that increases efficiency by 4% and is 5 times more reliable.

In related news, other automotive companies have also made significant announcements. Audi introduced the Q6 e-tron Offroad concept, a variant of its Q6 e-tron electric SUV, designed for challenging terrains. Meanwhile, BMW unveiled the M3 CS Touring, a high-performance estate with enhanced design elements and increased power. Hero MotorCorp also launched the new Karizma XMR Combat Edition bike, with upgrades similar to the Hero Xoom 110 Combat Edition.

The Ola S1 Gen 3 e-scooter series is available in four variants: S1 X, S1X+, S1 Pro, and S1 Pro+, with different battery pack options and ranges. Deliveries of the new models are set to begin from mid-February, marking an exciting development in the electric scooter market.

As the electric vehicle market continues to grow, the launch of Ola Electric's Gen 3 series is expected to have a significant impact on the industry.
