WhatsApp iOS Update Features Multiple Accounts

Updated :

In a significant development, WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows iPhone users to manage multiple accounts on a single device, eliminating the need for separate devices or apps. This feature, already available on Android, is currently in beta testing for iOS users.

The new feature, spotted in the app's TestFlight beta program, enables users to sign into multiple accounts within a single instance of the app. Each account will still require its own phone number, but with the ability to store up to eight eSIMs and use two phone numbers on new iPhones, users can easily manage multiple accounts. There are two ways to set up multiple accounts: as standalone primary accounts or by linking a new account to an existing one using a QR code.

This feature will allow users to log into and use their personal and business accounts on the same device, making it easier to manage different aspects of their life. The accounts will not share chat backups, settings, or notifications, maintaining separate identities. Users will be able to create a new account or log into existing accounts by scanning a QR code and switch between accounts easily.

The multi-account feature is currently being tested for iPhone users in version 25.2.10.70 of WhatsApp for iOS' beta app, and it is expected to roll out to all users in the near future. This update will bring WhatsApp's iOS app in line with its Android counterpart, which already supports multiple accounts.

The introduction of this feature is a significant update for WhatsApp users, especially those who use multiple accounts for personal and professional purposes. With this update, users can expect a more streamlined and convenient experience, eliminating the need for separate devices or apps.
