A Pakistani airline's alleged negligence has left a passenger, Shahzain, stranded in Saudi Arabia after he was mistakenly flown to Jeddah instead of his intended destination, Karachi, due to a "serious and irresponsible error" by ground staff at Lahore airport.

The incident occurred on July 7, when Shahzain, an electrical engineer, was returning from Lahore after learning his child had fallen ill. He was seated on the wrong flight without being informed and only discovered two hours into the flight that he was headed to Jeddah. The airline staff tried to manage the situation discreetly but failed, and Shahzain was interrogated by Saudi customs and security officials.

After explaining the situation and presenting his documents, Shahzain was released and placed on a return flight to Lahore. However, he was told to arrange his own ticket to Karachi, which he had to purchase on his own. The Pakistan Airport Authority has taken notice of the incident, holding the airline responsible for the mistake. Shahzain has filed a legal notice demanding accountability and proper training for airline staff, rather than seeking financial compensation.

The incident has raised concerns about the airline's safety protocols and passenger handling procedures. The airline's alleged attempt to blame Shahzain for the mix-up has also sparked outrage, with many calling for greater accountability and transparency in the aviation industry. As the investigation into the incident continues, the airline faces mounting pressure to take responsibility for its actions and ensure that such mistakes do not happen in the future.
