Lahore CCD Police Encounter Leaves Several Suspects Dead
The CCD police have been working to track down the remaining suspects who fled the scene, with a special team formed to apprehend them. The incidents have sparked a renewed focus on addressing street crime in Punjab, with the authorities vowing to take decisive action against those involved in such activities.

A series of encounters between the Crime Control Department (CCD) of Lahore Police and suspected robbers has resulted in the deaths of several individuals, including notorious criminals Fazlur Rehman and his son Ameer Abbas, who were killed in an alleged exchange of gunfire in the Shahdara area.
The incident occurred after police received information about a street crime involving motorcyclists, leading to a confrontation between the suspects and the CCD police. The suspects allegedly opened fire on police personnel, resulting in an exchange of gunfire that left them critically injured. They died while being transported to the hospital. Two other suspects fled the scene, and a special team has been formed to track them down.
In separate incidents, three suspects in custody of the CCD were killed in alleged encounters with their accomplices in Lahore. The incidents occurred during operations carried out by the CCD in the Civil Lines and North Cantonment areas. Two suspects, Abid and Dilawar, were killed in the Civil Lines area while attempting to free them from custody. The police claim both were repeat offenders with prior criminal records.
The incidents highlight the ongoing struggle against street crime in Punjab, with the CCD police working to crack down on suspected robbers and criminals. The deceased include notorious criminals with several cases registered against them, including record-holder Ali Sher Wattoo and Sadi Meer Alam.
The encounters have raised concerns about the use of force by the police and the need for effective strategies to combat street crime in the region. The authorities have assured that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents and to bring those responsible to justice.
