Millions of SNAP recipients in the US will receive their payments in June, with some states delivering Food Stamps on Father's Day, June 15, while others will receive them before or after the holiday, with retailers like Walmart and Target open to accept SNAP benefit payments.

The states that will receive SNAP benefits before Father's Day are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, the last SNAP payments before Father's Day will be made in Maine, Massachusetts, Utah, and Wisconsin.

After Father's Day, SNAP payments will resume in July, with the exact dates varying by state. Retailers open on Father's Day to accept SNAP benefit payments include Walmart, Target, Kroger, Publix, Safeway/Albertsons, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Aldi, Food Lion, Piggly Wiggly, and 7-Eleven. Online shopping is also available in all 50 states for SNAP benefits, allowing recipients to use their EBT cards to buy eligible food items.

SNAP recipients can use their EBT cards to purchase a variety of eligible food items, including meat, poultry, fish, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, cereals, bread, and snack foods. However, certain items like soda and candy may be prohibited in some states, so recipients should check with their local retailers for specific details on what items are eligible for purchase with SNAP benefits.
