Aamir Khan has spoken about his son Junaid's battle with dyslexia, revealing a deeply personal connection to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, and now its spiritual sequel, Sitaare Zameen Par, set to release on June 20, 2025.

Aamir initially failed to understand his son's condition and often scolded him during his early years, but eventually realized his mistake and sought help. He has now spoken about his experience, saying he was like the character Nandkishore Awasthi in the film, who struggles to understand his dyslexic son. Aamir's son Junaid has also spoken publicly about his dyslexia, allowing Aamir to share his own story.

During the filming of Taare Zameen Par, Aamir recalled scolding Junaid, who was dyslexic, and how the experience hit him hard. Aamir admitted to being like the character Nandkishore Awasthi, scolding Junaid for his struggles with reading and writing. He also revealed that Junaid had difficulty reading and would often guess words, leading to frustration.

Aamir's comments come ahead of the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, a soul sequel to Taare Zameen Par, which marks his return to Bollywood. The film is set to release on June 20, 2025, and is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike.
