UAE Breaks May Temperature Record: Latest Weather News
As the UAE continues to experience record-breaking temperatures, residents and visitors must be aware of the changing weather conditions, including humidity, fog, and dust, to stay safe and plan accordingly.

The United Arab Emirates has shattered its May temperature record for the second consecutive day, with the mercury soaring to 51.6°C in Sweihan on Saturday, just 0.4°C shy of the country's overall heat record set in 2010.
The previous record for May was 50.2°C, set in 2009, highlighting the extreme heat the UAE is experiencing. The country's location in one of the hottest regions on the planet makes it particularly vulnerable to climate change. Motorists in Dubai have been complaining about struggling air conditioning in their cars, while the temperature in Sweihan and Abu Dhabi has exceeded the previous record.
The UAE weather is expected to be fair and partly cloudy on Thursday, with temperatures rising to 40°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. However, humidity is expected to increase by night and Friday morning over some coastal areas, with red and yellow alerts issued for fog due to a deterioration in horizontal visibility. In contrast, temperatures will dip to 23°C in mountainous regions, with light to moderate winds causing dust to blow.
The extreme heat and changing weather conditions in the UAE serve as a reminder of the country's vulnerability to climate change, emphasizing the need for residents and visitors to take necessary precautions to stay safe during the hot summer months.
