Grieving Family, Friends Remember Mary G. Pearman
The graveside service for Mary G. Pearman will be held on May 29, 2025, at Westwood Memorial Gardens, while a morning wake and funeral service for Harry G. Burns, Jr. will be held on May 30, 2025, at The Joyce Funeral Home in Waltham, followed by burial at Linwood Cemetery in Weston. Mary G. Pearman, a devoted family woman and long-time member of the Spartanburg community, passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on June 10, 1940, Mary dedicated her life to her family, friends, and community, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Mary's life was marked by her loving and caring nature, and she was especially famous for her annual Pecan Pie, a tradition that brought joy to her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and cooking, and found community and fellowship at First Baptist Church Spartanburg. Mary is survived by her son, daughter, grandsons, great-grandchildren, sisters, and sister-in-law, and was predeceased by her husband, siblings, and several brothers.
In another part of the country, Harry G. Burns, Jr., a 69-year-old Brockton resident, passed away on May 21, 2025, at his home. Harry was a graduate of Newton North High School and worked as a maintenance superintendent for the Town of Weston before retiring. He also worked as a mechanic and was involved in his family's landscaping business. Harry enjoyed outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, and camping, and was an avid Harley rider.
As the families and friends of Mary G. Pearman and Harry G. Burns, Jr. mourn their passing, they take comfort in the memories and legacy left behind by these two remarkable individuals. Their lives may have been different, but their impact on those who knew them will be remembered for years to come.
