Mike Hesson Appointed Pakistan's White-Ball Coach
Hesson's experience and track record make him an ideal candidate for the role, and his familiarity with the Pakistani cricket scene, having coached Islamabad United, will be an added advantage as he looks to make a positive impact on the national team.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has appointed Mike Hesson as the head coach of Pakistan's white-ball cricket team, with Hesson set to assume his responsibilities from May 26, joining the national setup for white-ball formats.
The appointment comes after a thorough evaluation process, where a four-member committee shortlisted six candidates, including four foreign coaches, for the position of head coach of the national men's cricket team. The committee included Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed, Bilal Afzal, selector Azhar Ali, and former interim head coach Aaqib Javed, who is expected to take up a new role as Director of the High-Performance Centre.
Hesson, a former head coach of New Zealand, brings a wealth of experience coaching various international teams, including New Zealand and Kenya. He is currently the head coach of Islamabad United, the defending champions of HBL Pakistan Super League. The PCB's coaching setup has seen significant changes over the past year, with Jason Gillespie resigning as red-ball head coach in December and Gary Kirsten stepping down as white-ball head coach in October.
The appointment of Mike Hesson as the head coach of Pakistan's white-ball cricket team is expected to bring stability and expertise to the national setup, and fans will be eager to see the impact he has on the team's performance in the upcoming tournaments.
