The Punjab Government has cancelled all exams scheduled for May 7, 2025, due to unspecified reasons, affecting exams conducted by BISEs, universities, and colleges under the provincial government, including those affiliated with aiou.

The decision comes amidst heightened military tensions between Pakistan and India, with the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) becoming increasingly volatile. The escalation followed India's strikes on multiple locations in Pakistan, reportedly in response to the killing of over two dozen tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. BISE Lahore has also postponed intermediate and matriculation exams, citing the evolving situation.

The British Council, however, has announced that all examinations scheduled for May 7 will proceed as planned, despite the tensions. The organization has stated that it will update candidates if there are any changes to the exam schedule. Students are advised to contact their respective schools or the Customer Services Centre for any exam-related queries.

The postponement of exams has caused uncertainty among students, with many awaiting a new schedule. The Punjab Government's decision to cancel exams is seen as a precautionary measure, given the current situation. As the situation continues to unfold, students and parents alike are eagerly awaiting further updates on the exam schedule.
