Lizzo revealed her struggles with depression during a concert at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, sharing that in 2023, she was in a dark depression and didn't want to live anymore due to feeling deeply hurt and afraid of people. The singer encouraged fans to reach out to others in difficult situations, saying "if you're depressed, reach out to someone who will listen" and "if you hate the way you look, reach out to someone who loves you."

Lizzo's comments come as she faces multiple lawsuits filed by former employees alleging workplace misconduct and emotional distress. She was sued by three former dancers in 2023, who accused her of sexual harassment and fat-shaming, which she denied. Lizzo also faced a separate lawsuit from a stylist who claimed to have been subjected to racial and sexual harassment. Despite these challenges, Lizzo has made a comeback, playing her first live show in nearly two years and releasing two new singles.

The Grammy-winning artist has been open about her mental health journey, which inspired her upcoming album "Love in Real Life." Lizzo's struggles began in 2023 when she faced a lawsuit from former dancers accusing her of harassment and body shaming, which she has denied. She also felt isolated and fearful of being seen due to the negative attention. However, a heartwarming encounter with a fan helped shift her perspective, and she has since focused on self-care and "weight release" goals.

Lizzo is now easing back into the public eye, stating that she is the "best version" of herself and is excited to share her authentic self with the world. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of reaching out for help and support during difficult times, and the power of human connection in overcoming struggles with mental health.
