Ali Pervaiz Malik Leads Petroleum Ministry

The new cabinet lineup includes a mix of experienced politicians and new faces, with a focus on key areas such as defense, law, and education, and the government is expected to prioritize the country's development and progress.

Pakistan's federal cabinet has finally announced key portfolios for its newly inducted members, with Hanif Abbasi appointed as the Federal Minister for Railways and Mustafa Kamal heading the Ministry of Health.

The new cabinet lineup sees Khawaja Asif retaining the Ministry of Defense, while Azam Nazir Tarar will oversee the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Human Rights. Other notable appointments include Abdul Aleem Khan as Federal Minister for Communications, Musdaik Malik for Climate Change, and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for Education.

The government has also assigned Tariq Fazal Chaudhry as Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, with Ali Pervaiz Malik taking charge of the Petroleum Ministry. Additionally, Khalid Hussain Magsi has been appointed as Minister for Science and Technology, and Muhammad Munir Wattoo will head the Ministry of Water Resources.

Other new ministers include Aurangzeb Khichi for National Heritage and Culture, and Muhammad Junaid Anwar for Maritime Affairs. The government has stated that portfolios for special assistants and advisors will be announced separately, with three ministers yet to take oath due to unavailability.

The announcement of the new cabinet lineup brings an end to the uncertainty surrounding the allocation of ministries, and the government is expected to move forward with its agenda under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
