Xiaomi has launched its new flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, at the Mobile World Congress, with the Ultra model featuring a quad-camera setup and a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display, starting at $1,047 and $1,571 respectively.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT 900 wide-angle lens, a Leica Summilux lens, a 50MP Leica 70mm telephoto camera, and a 200MP Leica periscope telephoto lens, making it a strong contender in the premium smartphone market. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 1TB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Xiaomi is attempting to challenge Samsung in the premium smartphone market, where it has been successful in building its brand with affordable technology. The company's global smartphone shipments grew 15.4% in 2024, surpassing Samsung and Apple, and its market share rose to 13.6%. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is available in Black, White, and Silver Chrome colors, with prices starting at EUR 1,500 for the base variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

With its advanced camera capabilities and high-end features, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is poised to make a significant impact in the premium smartphone market, and Xiaomi's expansion into new areas such as electric vehicles has seen a nearly 300% rise in its stock over the past 12 months, making it a company to watch in the tech industry.
