DP World Boosts Trade with Gemini Cooperation
The ME11/IMX service and other initiatives under the Gemini Cooperation will provide weekly direct links to key ports, enhancing supply chain efficiency and access to international markets for Indian exporters and importers, while the expansion of the rail terminal in Sydney will reduce truck movements and carbon emissions.

DP World's Mundra terminal has welcomed the first call of the ME11/IMX service, a new gateway connection under the Gemini Cooperation between Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk, offering weekly direct connections to key ports in Europe and the Middle East.
The ME11/IMX service operates with 12 vessels, each with an average capacity of 16,000 TEUs, and is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and provide customers with unparalleled access to international markets. DP World Mundra's 632-meter quay and dedicated rail connectivity ensure seamless cargo movement, making it a critical gateway for Indian exporters and importers.
The addition of Gemini Cooperation services reinforces DP World Mundra's position as a key player in India's trade ecosystem, providing faster and more reliable access to international markets. The terminal operates 24/7 and maintains high security standards, with a 50-acre Container Freight Station and deep draft to accommodate large vessels.
In another development, DP World and NSW Ports are investing A$400 million to expand the rail terminal at Port Botany in Sydney, Australia. The expansion will add five new rail sidings to accommodate 600-meter-long regional trains, doubling the terminal's rail capacity from 400,000 TEUs to 1 million TEUs annually.
The expansion and new services under the Gemini Cooperation initiative demonstrate DP World's commitment to enhancing logistics capabilities, reducing carbon emissions, and driving economic growth in the regions it operates. With its strategic partnerships and investments, DP World is poised to play a significant role in boosting global trade connectivity.
