Jasprit Bumrah Wins ICC Awards Ahead Of India-Pakistan Clash

Jasprit Bumrah, despite being ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to a back injury, arrived in Dubai and received his ICC awards, including ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year and ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year.

Bumrah had a remarkable 2024, taking 86 wickets in 21 matches at an average of 13.76, making him the leading wicket-taker in international cricket last year. His performances in Tests were particularly impressive, with 71 scalps in 13 matches at an average of 14.92. He played a crucial role in India's Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign, taking 32 wickets in five matches at a stunning average of 13.06.

Bumrah's achievements earned him several awards, including the ICC Men's Test Player of the Year award and the BCCI Best International Men's Cricketer of the Year award. He made a surprise appearance at India's Champions Trophy clash against Pakistan, interacting with teammates like Virat Kohli and providing an update on his injury, stating it's "all okay".

India went on to win the match against Pakistan by 6 wickets, with significant contributions from Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya. Bumrah's presence and awards were a testament to his incredible skill and dedication to the sport, and his fans look forward to his return to the field.
