The participation of Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been thrown into uncertainty due to a back injury sustained during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with the BCCI considering backup options in case he fails to recover in time.

Bumrah's injury has raised concerns about his availability for the upcoming tournament, and he is set to undergo a medical assessment by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rowan Schouten in New Zealand. The BCCI is in close contact with Dr. Schouten for updates on Bumrah's condition, and a final decision on his participation will be made after receiving feedback from the doctor.
