Muhammad Aurangzeb Announces Relief Plans

Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced plans to provide relief to the salaried class in the upcoming budget, aiming to ease their financial burden amid ongoing fiscal challenges, with a focus on supporting the private sector and construction industry.

The government is looking to provide economic relief through various measures, including reducing taxes for the salaried class. Aurangzeb pointed to positive economic indicators, such as a rise in the number of remittance senders to 35 million and increased inflows through the Roshan Digital Account, as signs of economic stability. He emphasized the importance of the private sector in driving economic progress and stated that Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves are steadily improving.

The government has also reaffirmed its support for the construction industry, while ensuring that real estate activities remain free from speculative practices. Aurangzeb emphasized that the government will not allow gambling in the real estate sector, as it is not good for the economy. He noted that the country is economically stable, with a stable currency and reduced policy rate, and that the government is aiming for sustainable growth.

The Finance Minister's announcements are expected to provide relief to the salaried class and support the country's economic growth. With a focus on broadening the tax base and alleviating pressure on the exchequer, the government is working towards a more stable and sustainable economic future.
