Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's historical actioner Chhaava has become the first major hit of 2025, grossing over Rs 160 crore worldwide and surpassing its budget of Rs 130 crore with ease, marking a significant comeback for Vicky Kaushal and reinforcing Rashmika Mandanna's reputation as a lucky charm at the box office.

The film's impressive performance can be seen in its first Monday collection, which is significantly higher than any other Bollywood release this year, with an India nett collection of Rs 24 crore and an overall occupancy rate of 31.62 per cent in the Hindi market. In North America, the film collected $1.73 million in its opening weekend, with a total of $441,000 on Friday, $629,000 on Saturday, and $659,000 on Sunday. In India, the film earned over Rs 140 crore in four days, making it the second-highest grosser in Vicky Kaushal's career. The film's success can be attributed to its strong appeal among the audience, with a 50% drop in earnings on Monday indicating sustained interest.

Rashmika Mandanna has scored her fourth consecutive theatrical success with Chhaava, following Varisu, Animal, and Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film maintained a robust overall occupancy rate of 31.62% in the Hindi market throughout the day, with a peak of 47.46% during night screenings. Vicky Kaushal's film has become the first major Hindi release to recoup its costs and surpass its budget, making it a significant milestone for the actor.
