Babar Azam Leads ICC ODI Rankings

The ICC ODI rankings have seen significant movement, with Indian players making a strong showing in the top 10, and the ODI bowling rankings remaining tightly contested among players from various countries, setting the stage for an exciting season of cricket ahead.

Pakistan's Babar Azam has retained his position at the top of the ICC ODI batting rankings with 786 rating points, closely followed by India's Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, who are rapidly closing in on the top spot.

The latest ICC ODI rankings have seen significant movement, with Shubman Gill gaining one spot to move to second place with 781 points, and Rohit Sharma now just 13 rating points behind Babar Azam with 773 points. Ireland's Harry Tector has also risen to fourth place, surpassing South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen, who now ranks fifth.

The ODI bowling rankings are also tightly contested, with Rashid Khan, Maheesh Theekshana, Bernard Scholtz, Shaheen Afridi, and Kuldeep Yadav separated by just 18 rating points in the top five. Meanwhile, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi leads the ODI all-rounder rankings, and Australia's Usman Khawaja has moved up two places to equal ninth in the Test batter rankings.

The rise of Indian players in the rankings is notable, with four players now featuring in the top 10, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, and Shubman Gill. This shift in the rankings reflects the intense competition in the world of cricket, with players from various countries vying for the top spots.
