The Provincial Ombudsman Sindh has ordered the removal of K-Electric CEO Syed Moonis Abdullah Alvi from his position due to charges of workplace harassment, imposing a fine of Rs 2.5 million to be paid directly to the complainant.
A detailed inquiry found Alvi guilty of harassing a senior female executive, Ms Mahreen Aziz Khan, during her tenure at K-Electric. The decision comes after Alvi was reappointed as CEO on July 7, 2025, despite the allegations, and was set to take office on July 30, 2025.
