Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr has suffered a significant setback as the proposed transfer of Slovakian left-back David Hancko has collapsed at the last minute, with the player now set to join Atlético de Madrid instead.

The transfer was reportedly finalized last month, but was put on hold after manager Stefano Pioli's departure and then cancelled after Feyenoord linked up replacements. Feyenoord's board spokesperson has expressed outrage over Al Nassr's actions, calling them "scandalous" and claiming the Saudi club failed to honor their agreement and treated their players unfairly.

Hancko, who stands 1.88m tall, has played for MŠK Žilina, Fiorentina, and Sparta Prague before joining Feyenoord in 2022. The 28-year-old will now join Atlético de Madrid pending a medical examination and signing a new contract, marking a significant coup for the Spanish club.

The collapse of the transfer deal has left Feyenoord furious, but the Dutch club can take comfort in the fact that they will retain the services of the talented Slovakian defender. Meanwhile, Al Nassr will have to regroup and reassess their transfer strategy after missing out on a key target.
