The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the winners of its 2024 Development Awards, recognizing the achievements of Associate Members in promoting and growing the sport globally, with eight nations receiving top honors across seven categories.
The winners included Nepal, Bhutan, and USA, who received top honors for their achievements in grassroots development, digital fan engagement, and team performance. USA Cricket won the Associate Member Men's Team Performance of the Year award for qualifying for the Super Eight of the T20 World Cup and defeating Pakistan. Cricket Namibia received the ICC Development Initiative of the Year award for its Ashburton Kwata Mini-Cricket Programme, which has integrated cricket into physical education periods in public schools across the country.
Bhutan and Vanuatu shared the ICC Female Cricket Initiative of the Year award for their initiatives promoting female participation in cricket. The Cricket Association of Nepal won the ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year award for their strategic expansion across social media platforms, resulting in a significant increase in followers and engagement. Persatuan Cricket Indonesia received the ICC Cricket 4 Good Social Impact Initiative of the Year award for their "Cricket for Confidence" movement.
