Ajinkya Rahane Backs Kuldeep Yadav for Manchester Test

Kuldeep Yadav's inclusion in the playing XI could be a game-changer for India, as his leg-spin can help the team get wickets on a wicket that is expected to be similar to the last three Test matches. The team's ability to manage the workload of their pacers and the fitness of Rishabh Pant will also be crucial in determining the outcome of the match.

Former Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane has urged the Indian team management to include leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI for the fourth Test against England at Manchester, citing the wicket's similarity to the last three Test matches and Kuldeep's potential to get wickets.

Rahane believes that the Manchester wicket will be conducive to high scores, similar to the last three Test matches, and that Kuldeep can play a crucial role in helping India secure a win. He also suggested that if Jasprit Bumrah is not available, Arshdeep Singh, a left-arm seamer, should replace him, as he can swing the ball both ways and create rough for the spinners.

The Indian team management is still deciding on the bowling attack combination for the fourth Test, with crucial selection decisions to be made ahead of the match. Rishabh Pant's injury recovery and workload management for pacers, including Mohammed Siraj, are also being assessed. Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said Pant will bat in Manchester before the Test and is likely to play if fit.

India faces a daunting challenge in the upcoming fourth Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, where they have never secured a win in 89 years. The team has suffered 9 losses and no wins at this venue, with their last visit in 2014 resulting in an innings and 54-run defeat. However, with Shubman Gill eyeing a historic victory, the team hopes to break this 89-year drought and secure their first win at Old Trafford.

The fourth Test begins on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester, and India will be looking to make a strong statement and turn their fortunes around at this venue. With the right team combination and strategy, India can overcome their past struggles and achieve a historic win.
