The FBI's Washington Field Office has released posters seeking information on three senior Iranian intelligence officers involved in the 2007 abduction of Robert A. Levinson from Kish Island, Iran, including current Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Ahmad Amirinia.

The officers, including high-ranking MOIS officer Sayyed Taghi Ghaemi and senior MOIS deputy Ali Mohammadnia, allegedly facilitated Levinson's abduction and subsequent cover-up by the Iranian government. The FBI has been investigating Iranian officials involved in Levinson's disappearance and has designated several individuals for their roles.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to Levinson's location, recovery, and return, and the US State Department's Rewards for Justice program is offering an additional $20 million. The three Iranian intelligence officers added to the FBI's wanted list in connection with the abduction are Reza Amiri Moghadam, Taghi Daneshvar, and Gholamhossein Mohammadnia.

The FBI believes that Iranian intelligence services not only carried out the abduction but also spread false information to escape responsibility. The three officers were previously sanctioned by the US Treasury Department in March 2025, and the FBI is now seeking information that could help locate Levinson or identify those responsible.

The case of Robert A. Levinson's abduction remains a priority for the FBI, and the agency is committed to finding out what happened to him and bringing those responsible to justice. The rewards offered by the FBI and the US State Department demonstrate the importance of resolving this case and the commitment to holding accountable those involved in Levinson's disappearance.
