Sabih Khan Apple: New COO to Lead Global Operations
With Khan's appointment, Apple's global supply chain and operations are expected to continue to thrive, building on the strong foundation laid by Williams during his 27-year tenure, as the company looks to drive growth and innovation in the years to come.

Sabih Khan, Apple's senior vice president of Operations, will take over as chief operating officer, overseeing the company's global supply chain, product quality, and planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and product fulfillment functions, as Jeff Williams transitions out of his role later this month.
Khan, who has been with Apple for 30 years, has been praised by CEO Tim Cook for his brilliant strategic thinking and his ability to lead with heart and values. Williams, who has been instrumental in building Apple's supply chain and played a key role in the introduction of iPod and iPhone programs, as well as the development of Apple Watch and the company's health strategy, will continue to report to Cook and oversee Apple's world-class design team and Apple Watch alongside the company's Health initiatives.
Williams, who joined Apple in 1998, will retire at the end of the year, marking the end of his 27-year tenure with the company. Cook praised Williams as a "key architect" of the company's global supply chain and a driving force behind Apple Watch and Health initiatives. The transition will begin this month, with Williams working closely with Khan to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.
The leadership change comes as Apple undergoes a broader shake-up in its leadership, with several top executives leaving the company recently. Khan's appointment as COO is seen as a significant development, given his extensive experience in overseeing global operations, including manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.
As Sabih Khan takes the reins as Apple's new COO, the company is poised to continue its legacy of innovation and excellence, with Khan's strategic thinking and leadership skills set to play a key role in shaping the company's future.
