Housefull 5 Box Office Slows Down, Faces Challenge from Sitaare Zameen Par
With Sitaare Zameen Par earning Rs 3.31 crore on its opening day, the competition at the box office is set to intensify, and Housefull 5's chances of crossing the Rs 200 crore mark are looking increasingly uncertain, as the film's pace has slowed down significantly in its third week.

Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 has slowed down in its third week, earning Rs 167.90 crore in 14 days, and is expected to face a significant drop in its third weekend due to the release of Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par.
The film had a strong start, collecting Rs 24 crore on day one, Rs 31 crore on Saturday, and Rs 32.5 crore on Sunday, taking its first-week total to Rs 127.25 crore. In its second week, the film saw a drop in earnings but still managed to pull in decent numbers, adding Rs 37.35 crore to the tally, taking the total to Rs 151.75 crore.
Housefull 5 has earned 3.20 crores on day 13, taking its total earnings to 174.09 crores net at the Indian box office after 13 days. Including taxes, the gross earnings stand at 205.42 crores. The film is now less than 21 crores away from becoming Akshay Kumar's no.1 post-COVID grosser, and is likely to beat Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 to emerge as 2025's second highest-grossing Bollywood film.
The release of Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan, is expected to affect Housefull 5's box office performance, with the new film having wide release and solid bookings. Housefull 5's total collection is expected to finish at around Rs 175 crore at the Indian box office, with the film facing a massive drop in its third weekend.
