A Ukrainian MiG-29 pilot has successfully utilized American high-precision cruise missiles, specifically SDB bombs, to destroy a Russian fortified area with infantry, causing a significant explosion and throwing a Russian soldier dozens of meters away. The strike demonstrates the effectiveness of Ukraine's military capabilities, including its ability to deploy advanced weaponry.

The SDB bombs used in the strike have a maximum range of 110 km, with a variant also available for ground launch from HIMARS and M270 launchers with a range of 150 km. This advanced technology has enabled the Ukrainian military to target and destroy Russian positions with increased precision. Additionally, Ukraine's "Dronopad" project has been successful in downing over a dozen of Russia's most expensive reconnaissance drones, including two Merlin-VR drones valued at over $600,000 each.

The "Dronopad" project has been effective in targeting and destroying Russian reconnaissance UAVs, with more than 12 drones eliminated so far. The estimated total damage to Russia exceeds $90 million, highlighting the significant impact of Ukraine's military efforts. The Ukrainian Army Assistance Fund "Come Back Alive" has published a video of the strike, which was carried out in coordination with anti-aircraft gunners and artillery brigade personnel.

In a separate development, Ukraine's Air Force released a photo of an F-16 fighter jet that successfully repelled a Russian attack on May 5-6, showcasing the jet's depleted missile supply after firing five AIM-9 missiles. The attack, which involved 136 loitering munitions and decoy drones, was repelled by a combination of Ukrainian warplanes, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups.

The Ukrainian Air Force Command expressed gratitude to the pilots for their performance and the lives saved, highlighting the importance of effective military coordination and advanced technology in repelling Russian attacks. As the conflict continues, Ukraine's military efforts remain focused on defending its territory and repelling Russian aggression.
