Russian Missile Strikes Ukraine, Kills 17
The attacks have sparked widespread condemnation, with Ukrainian leaders urging NATO allies to provide support and calling for international action to hold Russia accountable for the strikes. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant loss of life and damage to infrastructure, with no end in sight.

A Russian missile attack on Ukraine's Dnipro region has resulted in the deaths of at least 17 people and injured over 200, including 18 children, with the attack occurring during a church service. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged NATO allies to invest in Ukraine's defense as rescue efforts continue.
The attack targeted the region's main city Dnipro and nearby town of Samar, with three more people killed in separate strikes on the northeastern city of Sumy. The strikes have damaged schools, hospitals, and a passenger train, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accusing Russian forces of a "complete disregard for life" and calling for international support.
The strikes came as Zelensky arrived at the NATO summit in the Netherlands for meetings with European leaders, leading to accusations that Russia is sabotaging peace talks and prolonging the war. This is not the first time Russian missile strikes have targeted Ukraine, with a strike on June 24 killing at least nine people and injuring dozens, and damaging civilian infrastructure.
The international community has been called upon to respond to the attacks, with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister citing the need for credibility among allies to pressure Moscow. The situation remains dire, with Russia's increased air attacks on Ukraine, particularly on the capital Kyiv, where 28 people were killed on June 17 in the deadliest such attack this year.
