The Saudi Ministry of Education has confirmed the summer break timeline for 2025, with students and universities set to start their holidays in June and August respectively, as part of the new three-semester system aimed at reducing academic stress and improving mental health.

The summer break for schools will begin on June 27, 2025, after the end of the third semester, and will last for 51 days until August 17, 2025. University students will start their summer recess earlier, around mid-Dhu al-Qadah 1446, and will have the opportunity to participate in summer training or volunteer activities. The new system has resulted in shorter summer vacations, but aims to provide more frequent breaks to reduce the pressure of continuous study.

The Saudi Ministry of Education has also announced that distance learning will continue during the summer, with digital educational platforms and training courses available for students. Additionally, various activities will be held to develop students' skills in sports, culture, and creativity. The vacation has been divided into three phases, with June dedicated to reviewing previous lessons, July for final exams, and August for preparing for the new school term.

The announcement of the summer break timeline for 2025 is expected to provide students and families with a clear understanding of the upcoming academic schedule, allowing them to plan their summer activities and vacations accordingly. The changes to the academic calendar are part of the Saudi Ministry of Education's efforts to improve the overall education system and provide students with a more balanced and supportive learning environment.
