Sunny Deol's film "Jaat" has maintained a steady box office performance, earning Rs. 78.25 crore in India after 13 days despite facing controversy and competition from Akshay Kumar's "Kesari Chapter 2", with a decent opening and continued audience interest.
The film earned Rs. 2 crore on its second Tuesday, with a Hindi occupancy of 15.68%, and had a decent opening with Rs. 9.5 crore on Day 1, collecting around Rs. 61.75 crore in its first week. A sequel, "Jaat 2", is in the works, with Sunny Deol confirming the project in a video, indicating the film's success and potential for further growth.
The film has beaten the lifetime collection of "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha", which stood at Rs. 76.65 crore for over 20 years, and has become the third highest-grossing film of Deol's career after 'Gadar' and 'Gadar 2'.
