Islamabad United's Australian wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey has withdrawn from the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League due to domestic cricket commitments, but the team's management has confirmed that South African batter Rassie van der Dussen will rejoin the squad soon.

Van der Dussen was initially replaced by Carey, but his return is expected to strengthen Islamabad United's batting lineup, which is a top contender for the title despite roster changes. The South African batter was a standout performer in PSL 9, scoring 364 runs in seven innings, and his experience will be crucial for the team's success in the upcoming tournament.

The 10th edition of the PSL features six teams competing in 34 matches from April 11 to May 18, with Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium hosting 13 matches, including two Eliminators and the final. Islamabad United will look to van der Dussen's return as a major boost ahead of their opening clash against Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.

With van der Dussen's return, Islamabad United's chances of winning the title have increased, and the team's management will be hoping that he can replicate his PSL 9 performance and lead the team to victory in the upcoming tournament.
